C2H | | Job Description: | The qualified candidate in this role, a team player with management and technical experience, will support our client's users in utilizing the SAP system and related systems that support of sales and distribution business functions. Our client is looking for someone who has served in a user support role within the business, and not just implementation activities. This candidate will provide leadership on technical projects, systems management, and administration to ensure technical and business units are effectively utilizing the assigned systems and that these systems are enhancing company value.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide competency center support for assigned SAP / JDA business functions (i.e. SD, SC, BW, Manugistics, Adesso, Sales reporting, etc). * Perform project management & leadership (PMO) for IT projects for SAP enhancements or 3rd party systems related to the assigned business areas. * Assist the IT Director in preparation of capital and operational budgets related to the supported business functions. * Provide end user first line user support and training for assigned business software applications. * Maintain critical master data that affects the operation and efficiency of the assigned business functions. * Provide documentation and training materials for assigned business applications. * Manage the day to day help desk activities in coordination with the corporate SAP Competency center and affected business managers. * Responsible for proactively generating and compiling reports for the corporate SAP Competency Center and the IT Director based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to or new requirements for business processes, technical operational procedures and problem resolutions. * Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver tasks or projects according to plan. * Participate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications. * Liaise with various IT and business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes.
Required Knowledge, Education and Skills
* College degree in business or technology field. Equivalent experience will also be considered. * 7 or more years experience in SAP and related business functions. Proficiency in developing, design and delivering documentation deliverables. * Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. * Strong administrative skills, with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve target dates. * Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Demonstrated project management and leadership skills. * Must be available for occasional travel and off-hour, on-call support required as needed. * Strong verbal/written communication skills are required. Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with technical staff members, business partners and vendors. * Experience and training in SAP ECC Version 6 in functional areas to be supported. * Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis and business processes. * Experience managing the research, selection and implementation of information system solutions. * Highly self motivated and directed. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. * Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. * Fluent English is a requirement, French or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Working Conditions / Hours / Travel
The SAP Support Analyst's primary office location will be in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week. There will be some variation in work hours due to planning meetings, special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Travel will be required - potentially up to 25%.
