DESCRIPTION
Maintain up to date records on a variety of technology related hardware and software assets using BMC Remedy, Access and / or Excel.
Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records related to inventory status, location and technical specifications
Timely processing of inventory transactions such as inventory receipt, issuance, transfer and disposal in asset tracking systems such as Remedy, Altiris and Great Plains
Collaborate with IT and Architecture to establish policy, procedure, standards and controls to ensure effective management of IT assets.
Schedules and reconciles periodic physical inventories to ensure accuracy
Creates, maintains, analyzes and distributes inventory process and exception reports
Manages and monitors contractual performance relative to HW and SW
Manages hardware and software "true-up" processes
Create, document, follow and enforce processes and procedures. Identify and implement process improvements.
Establishes inventory levels for critical configuration items.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates a high level of information technology skills and aptitude
Experience and proficiency with MS Office Excel, Access, InfoPath and Outlook
Familiarity with BMC Remedy or any other asset management system
Ability to manage multiple tasks while effectively focusing on priority issues
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently without high degree of supervision
Ability to make decisions using critical reasoning
Experience dealing in a high stress environment, ability to maintain calm and cool composure, think rationally and solve problems in such situations
Passion for both internal and external customer satisfaction
Sense of urgency
High energy level which allows for quick and decisive reactions to challenging situations
Certified in ITIL
