Our Keller, TX, client has recently introduced a new Client and Server Java/AJAX architecture framework which is integrated with other architectures frameworks and technologies used there. This architecture is initially being used on two projects related to the build-out of new Margins and Billing systems. A number of other projects are currently being initiated which will eventually lead to development of new clearing, pricing or settlement applications based on the new architecture/infastructure. If selected, you would be involved with the support of the current applications using the new architecture and/or the design and development of new applications which are approved in our client's project portfolio with a main focus on server-side technologies: Spring Core, Spring MVC and J2EE.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
During Analysis, you would work with the project team to develop a high-level approach for the new applications or enhancements to existing applications. This includes research and proof-of-concept efforts to help determine the most appropriate alternatives.
Active participation, deliverable creation and mentoring of other resources is expected as Approach efforts lead into Design activities. You should be able to understand the Architecture and how to use it effectively to create new applications.
As someone skilled in the area of Web frameworks and supporting architectures, our client would look to you for experience in the categories of Web Interface and Control tooling, design and creation.
REQUIRED SKILLS
3-4 years Hands-on Spring/Java development experience with systems that have gone to Production successfully
2 years or more Web development experience
3 years or more experience with UNIX, SQL, J2EE Application Server
Strong collaboration, team mentoring and presentation skills
Experience in a Continuous Integration/Unit Test environment
Demonstrated experience with a development methodologies (ie: RUP or Iterative approaches)
DESIRED SKILLS
1-2 years of AJAX/JavaScript development experience is preferred
Experience with a range of technologies is preferred
Experience in Financial Derivates Industry preferred
Strong SQL/database tunning expertise is preferred
